He is survived by : his wife Connie; his children, Linda Bushway, David J. Scheffler Jr. (Luz Odelia), Michelle S. Houchin (Dwight), Erik C. Scheffler (Gap Soon) and Connie M. Patchin; his grandchildren, Amie Smith, Ryan Eisele (Kim), David J. Scheffler III (Lisa), Dalanaise M. Serna (Louis), Christopher Scheffler (Denise), Benjamin S. Houchin, Isabella S. Houchin, Joey Scheffler, Jacob D. Patchin and Samuel J. Patchin; and his sister Marianne Keele (Michael). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
