He was predeceased by: his son Eric; his parents, Edward and Marian; and his sisters, Sonja Shultz, Zelda Berry and Zephernia "Fern" Carlin.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his son Edward, III (Stephanie Jack) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Kayla Hanson, Alex, Jordan and James Finck; and his sisters, Sondra McCammon (Donnie), Susan Wesner (Bill), Jane Lee (Dan) and Shirley Fetsch (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
