With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard J. Brandenburg of Lowell, Indiana, born in Hammond, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Brandenburg and Mary Brandenburg; his sister Margaret Brandenburg; and his siblings-in-law, John and Pam.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Brandenburg; his children, Lauren Sipla and Derek Brandenburg (Jane Dennis); his stepsons, Anthony Brown, Alexander Kazmierczak and Alden Kazmierczak (Courtney); and his siblings, Bill Brandenburg (late Pam) and Patty Hrej (late John). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephew, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard's name to Bethel Church Crown Point, IN.
