She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Tharp and Hilda Tharp; her husband Lewis E. Platt; and her brothers, Donald Tharp and William Tharp.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Sterling of Blue Ridge, GA, Debbie Sterling of Indianapolis, IN and Beverly Bolton of Satsuma, FL.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Lynn.
