He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Vernon Acton and Elnere Enola Rust Duvall; his sons, Steven Charles Acton, Richard A. "Rick" Acton and David Acton; and his sons-in-law, Oscar Dinkins and Marion Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Zennith; his children, Gary Acton (Lori), Daniel Acton and Jennifer Dinkins; and his stepchildren, Steve Moore (Alisa), Jackie Stuckey (Steve) and Bobbie Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
