He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa "Rosie" Swartzentruber Gingerich and Jacob D. Gingerich, Sr.; his wife Margaret Gingerich (Miller); and his siblings, David Gingerich and Glenda Gingerich.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra "Debbie" Gingerich VandeWater of Madison, Dorothy Gingerich Hewitt of Madison and Julia Gingerich of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Leigh VandeWater, Ian VandeWater (Sharon), Noah Hewitt (Erin), Eric Hewitt (Ori) and Alexander Gingerich (Alexia); his great grandchildren, Zachary Hewitt and Rowan Hewitt; and his siblings, Jacob Gingerich, Jr. (Patty) of Montgomery, Daniel Gingerich (Venita) of Cannelburg, Joe Gingerich of Loogootee, Indiana, Viola Wagler of Middle Branch, Ida Mae Miller (Ethan) of Honea Path and Sylvia Wagler of Washington, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (221 E Kuntz Rd, Hanover, IN 47243). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Building Fund.
