She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Taylor and Mamie Callis Taylor; her husband Carroll Ben "Benny" May; her daughter Sandy Hay; her granddaughter Kimberly Sue Hay; and her sister Edith Adams.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Paul May of Lancaster, Gary Wayne May (Brenda) of Deputy, Joseph May of Lancaster, Jerry May of Lancaster, Indiana, Brenda Rowlett (Joe) of Middletown, Gwen Jones (Peter) of Richmond, Virginia and Mary May of Madison, Indiana. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
