She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Winkel and Elizabeth Wolfschlag Winkel; her husband Charles Wesley Smith of Michael's Catholic Church; her son-in-law Donnie Skirvin; her children, Donna Smith Hysell and John David Smith; her siblings, Theodore "Ted" Winkel, Joseph Winkel, Catherine "Cathy" Winkel, Rose Mary Winkel, Mary Margaret Winkel, Elizabeth "Betty" Cord, Martha Helen Torline, Dorothea J. Winkel and Dolores J. Spoonmore; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Cord, Robert Spoonmore, Charles Torline, Carol Ann Hardy and Helen Marie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Marie Skirvin of Madison, Indiana, Mark Alan Smith of Panama City, Keith Patrick Smith (Beth) of Maineville, Ohio and Darvin Hysell of Madison, Indiana; her daughter-in-law Beverly Smith of Greenwood, Indiana; her grandchildren, Krissy (Chris Crooks), Angela Whitaker Almy (Joe), Brandon Smith (Lindsey), Brittany Smith, Erin Smith, Alicia Mumma (Keenan), Rachel Smith (Paul), Amy Smith (Chris), Katey Hamilton, Tanner Hamilton (Savannah) and Cheyenne Smith; and her great grandchildren, Aegis, Ayla, Dean, Anna Grace, Rory, Vanessa, Dallas, Reese, Cecilia, Luca John, Gage, Claire and Cameron. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Research in memory of her three sisters, Rose Mary, Mary Margaret and Catherine, who all died from breast cancer.
