Dora Ann Long Alexander Powell Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Dora Ann Long Alexander Powell of Madison, Indiana. Dora Ann, born on August 7, 1953, passed away on October 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin M. Long and Helen Marie Otter Long; and her brothers, Russell Long and Irvin Long, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Derek Alexander (Katie) of Madison and Brandon Alexander (Sarah) of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Bryce, Grant, Bree and Brady Alexander; her siblings, Elaine Meyers of Madison, Mary Arbuckle of Madison, Indiana, Ronnie Long of Madison, Indiana, Eston Long (Cindy) of Hanover, Indiana, Kenny Long (Jackie) of Madison, Indiana and David Long (Linda) of Lexington, Indiana; and her sisters-in-law, Penny Long of Madison, Indiana and Jenita Long of Madison, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location.
