He was predeceased by: his parents, Beverly Horn and Amanda Horn (Sparks); his children, Jeffrey Dean Horn and Cheri Ritchie (Waltz); and his siblings, Clara Williams, Wanda Dinsmore, Alma Landry, Anna Perkinson, Robert Horn, Wayne Horn, Keith Horn and Kevin Horn.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Horn (Poynter) of Madison; his children, James D. Horn (Deborah) of Trafalgar, Tammie L. Rodgers (Jim) of Madison and Teresa Dickerson (Jeff) of Leavenworth, Kansas; his grandchildren, James D. Horn II (Amy), Laura Pickel (Sean), Jeffery Dickerson (Meghan), Tara Earl (Nick) and James E. Cameron Rodgers; his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Landyn, Clayton, Sylvia, Maleah, Evelyn, Caroline, Everly, Emily and Eloise; and his brothers, Ronald Horn (Mary) of Versailles and Kenneth Horn of Hanover. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
