He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bailey and Emily Henry Bailey Schurick; and his brothers, Jack, Kenny, Steve, Charlie and Jerry Schurick.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Laura Grubbs Gardner of Madison, Indiana; his sons, Joe Bailey of Madison, Brian Bailey (Misty) of Richmond, David Bailey of North Vernon and Aaron Bailey of Madison, Indiana; his stepdaughter Cheyanne Gardner of Madison, Indiana; and his siblings, Terri Burchfield (Mark) of Hanover, Renee Schurick of Madison, Indiana and Daniel Schurick of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
