With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John W. Thompson of Madison, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet M. Brinson Thompson and William Arthur Thompson; his siblings, Robert "Bobby Joe" Thompson, Harvey Thompson and Edna Case; his brothers-in-law, Billy Dean and Robert "Bob" Eggers; and his siblings' children, Starlene Thompson and Jacklyn Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Twilia Thompson of Madison, Indiana; his children, Debbie Thompson of Columbus, Tammy of Columbus, Crystal Thompson of Columbus, Jimmy Thomson John Thompson, Jr. of Columbus, Melissa Kay Bushong of Madison, Indiana and Alex Gomez of Madison, Indiana; his stepsons, John Brim, Jr. (Arlene) of Land O'Lakes and Matthew Law of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and his siblings, Mary A. "Mousey" Thompson of Madison, Norma Jean Thompson (Briton Hunt) of Madison, Carolyn Dean of Madison, Faye Eggers of Madison, Connie Thompson of Madison, Indiana and Larry W. Thompson (Mary) of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends.
