He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Stoops Scudder and Olive B. Slack Scudder; his daughter Elizabeth Scudder; and his siblings, Reynold "Renny" Scudder, Earl Edwin Scudder, Carroll Norman Scudder, John Frederick Scudder and Elizabeth Scudder Cheek.

He is survived by: his sister Bonnie Scudder Niles of Erlanger, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
