He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. "Shotgun" Harrod and Dorothy E. Harrod (Berghofer); and his sister Linda Ralston (Darrell). He is survived by: his sons, Skyler and Loren; his siblings, Mary "Pee Wee" Elliott of Madison and Charles "Pete" Harrod (Martha) of Madison; his nephews, Duane Ralston (Kim) of Lexington and Clint Elliott of Hanover, Indiana; and his niece Heather Holt (Brent) of Madison.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Western Fire Company No. 3, the Legion Riders of Major Samuel Woodfill Post #9, American Legion, or the VFW Post 1969. Contributions may be made at the Welty Family Funeral Home or below.
