Opal Marie Vinup Rumsey Obituary

We announce the death of Opal Marie Vinup Rumsey of Madison, Indiana, who passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Opal will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Caroline Louise Hueseman Vinup and Albert Heinrich Vinup; her husband Leland Dale Rumsey; her brother Julius Herman Vinup; her daughter Sharon; and her son-in-law John Rumsey.

She is survived by: her children, Debi Rumsey of Lafayette, Indiana and Michael Rumsey of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Evan Rumsey and Bonnie Cunningham (Corey); and her great grandchild Colby Cunningham. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
