He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shelton and Blanche Smith Shelton; his wife Bonita Bayne Shelton; and his siblings, Richard Shelton, Donald Shelton, George Shelton, James Shelton, William Shelton, Nadine Manning and Belva Jane Tingle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Danny L. Shelton (Treva) of Hanover, Indiana, Betty Lou Thorne of Madison, Ruth J. Short of Madison, Elizabeth L. Russell Quiggle of Madison and Evelyn B. Jones of Warsaw, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
