He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Winternheimer and Florence Winternheimer (Oberbeck); his wife Shirley Deken Winternheimer (Deken) of Madison; and his siblings, Carol Winternheimer, Lola Gerhardt, Wayne Winternheimer and Burt Hatfield.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Winternheimer (Angela) of Sellersburg, Indiana and Cheryl Roberts (David) of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jesse Roberts (Danielle), Tregan Roberts (Allison), Hana Ebeling (Luke), Julian Winternheimer (Helen), Grace Winternheimer, Sarah Winternheimer and Henry Winternheimer; his great grandchildren, Silas, Dawson, Hadley, Wyatt, Emmett and Atlas; and his sister Nancy Heim (Irvin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
