She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva D. Copeland and June Buchele Copeland; her sisters, Karen, Callis and Lois Copeland Davis; and her niece Michele Copeland.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Dewey Shields of Madison, Indiana; her children, Eric Shields (Renee) of Louisville, Kentucky and Annette "Pooh" Craig (Barry) of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Megan Dudding (Paul Duane), Logan Trowbridge (Rachel), Logan Craig (Chelsea), Nate Craig, Maggie Shields (Dylan Knopp), Luke Boehnlein (Ashlynn Tucker), Ryan Shields (Kayla Riley) and Nate Shields; her great grandchildren, Lakelynn, Lincoln, Asher, Ryder, Emmalynn, Sommer and George; and her siblings, Gene Copeland, Wayne Copeland, Ronnie Copeland, Lonnie "Bub" Copeland and Phyllis Copeland Shelton. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
