He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Beatrice Konkle Groves and Delbert Herschel Groves; and also Mildred Beatrice Konkle Groves. He is survived by: his wife Judy Diane Sanders Groves of Madison, Indiana; his children, Ricky Joe Groves (Darla) of Madison, Indiana, Beth Ann Truesdell (Randy) of Madison and Susan Rea Schildt (Jim) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Kampwerth (Nathan), Brady Adler, Matt and Megan Schildt; his great grandchildren, Josie and Emmy Kampwerth; his stepgrandchildren, Jerad Perry (Cirstyn), Kayla St. John (Cody) and Kylie Truesdell; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bentley and Carter Perry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
