We are sad to announce that, on July 31, 2025, at the age of 100, Wauneta P. DeVeary of Madison, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper William and Lola B. Barnes (Scott); her husband Emmett C. DeVeary; her son-in-law Norbert Anthony "Tony" Steinhardt, Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Parker, William Lamar Barnes, Harwood Barnes and William Jasper Barnes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Phyllis Jo DeVeary Steinhardt of Madison and Donna DeVeary Wehner (Randy) of Madison; her grandchildren, Norbert Anthony "Tony" Steinhardt, III (Hilary) of Madison, Scott Andrew Steinhardt (Karen) of Easton and Angie Guarino Hertz (David) of Madison; her great grandchildren, Dr. Sydney Steinhardt, Norbert "Anthony" Steinhardt, IV, Scott "Andrew" Steinhardt, Jr., William D. Steinhardt, Katie Hertz and Jacob Hertz; her nephew Jerry Barnes; and her niece Karen Shuler. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
