He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer "Gene" Lewis and Matilda Hoeppner Lewis; his former life partner Rebecca Miller; his brother Terry Lewis; his grandson Tyler Stout; and his wife Maria E. Combs Cornett Lewis.
He is survived by : his children, Michael Cornett (Rebecca) of Bedford, Jeremy Lewis (Kristen) of Charlestown, Indiana, Jennifer "Jenny" Wilson (Frank) of Commiskey and Nicola Nixon Lewis (Billy) of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren, Alexandria Lantz (Josh), Aaron Wilson (Ashley), Andrew Wilson, Corey Cornett (Alaina), Justin Cornett, Christopher Cornett, Sidney Lewis, Colten Lewis, Gage Lewis and Nick Nixon; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Ollie, Gwyn, Henry, Beatrice, Noah, Caroline and Azzy; his siblings, William "Bill" Lewis (Mary) of Madison, Steven Lewis (Shelly) of Madison, Indiana, Debbie Miles (Randal) of Sanders and Vicki Wehner (John) of Madison, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Karen Lewis of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
