He was predeceased by: his parents, Everest R. Mills and Goldia Ruth Mills. He is survived by: his sisters, Sharon Wurtz of Milltown and Norma R. Murphy of Depauw, Indiana; and his close friends, Gary K. Cochran, Therese Webb and Johnny Dukes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
