She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Edwin and Mae Seacat (Jones); her husband Charles D. VanMeter; and her brother Lowell Wayne Seacat (Betty Seacat). She is survived by : her sons, Scottie VanMeter (Rickie) of Marengo and Dean VanMeter (Kyle West) of St. Louis, Missouri; her daughter-in-law Cheri Smith; and her grandchildren, Michael VanMeter (Laura), Jason VanMeter (Jamie), Crystal Bullington (James) and Chase Van Meter. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
