We announce the death of Alberta Hanthorn in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 90. Alberta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lottie Whitaker and Paul Whitaker; her husband Harry Hanthorn; her daughters, Pammy Cruz, Tammy Serrano and Vivian Morales; her daughter-in-law Deborah Hart-Duncan; and her sons, Dennis Duncan, David McMillen and Harvey Hanthorn.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Alaniz Hanthorn, Candace Ramirez (Jorge), Lisa Lugo (Miguel), Star Luz (Ricardo), Bridget Mendoza-Hanthorn, Tabatha Howell (Vinny), Mike Duncan, Roger Hanthorn (Betty) and Harry Hanthorn; and her son-in-law Jose Serrano.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952).
