He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Githens and Mary Githens (Stebbins); and his sister Alice Copher. He is survived by: his spouse Mackie Jo; his children, Kenneth Githens of Lafayette, Keith Githens and Kelly Lawrence; his granddaughters, Christen Kemp, Alexis Hernandez and Shelly Campbell; his great grandchildren, David, Kobe, Kendall, Brandon, Bradley, Zoe and Emma; his nephew Clark Copher; and his close friends, Jim Gall and Jim Glass.
