He is survived by: his wife Carla Marquez; his great grandchildren, Josephine Bordenkircher, Petra Bordenkircher, Ruby Mil and Carmen Mil; his sons-in-law, Adam Newton and Darrel Gosnell; his siblings, Amado Marquez, Silvia Marquez (George), Luis Marquez (JoAnn), James Marquez (Soledad), Armando Marquez (Sandra), Socorro Marquez and Martha Marquez; his brothers-in-law, Marlin Parke (Angie) and Maurice Parke; Kim Brown (Bobby), Scott Marquez (Tabitha), Erica Newton, Brittney Bordenkircher (Kevin), Adrian Marquez, Evan Brown (Adrian), Olivia Brown, Cidney Mil (Alex), Claire Newton, Isabella Marquez, Ava Newton, Gabriela Marquez, Lucy Gosnell, Tinley Gosnell, Asher Newton and Callen Newton. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Indiana Funeral Care - Indianapolis Chapel (8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250). A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Marion National Cemetery (1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953).
