Barbara L. Peterson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara L. Peterson of Marion, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John W. Thompson; and her sister Roberta "Bobbie" Sue Peterson. She is survived by: her mother Goldie M. Thompson (Mundy); her husband William "Bill" Peterson of Marion; her children, William Peterson (Becky) of Converse, Richard "Rick" Peterson of Marion and Kimberly "Kim" Ziner (Mike) of Wabash; her grandchildren, Jason Peterson, Jeremy Peterson (Shevonne), Ryan Peterson (Bethany), Corey Cook (Lindsey) and Melissa Rolph; her great grandchildren, Avanly, Kierstin, Brailyn, Bentley, Rory, Eli, Carson, Truett, Daxxton, Annaleigh, Wells and Willow; her stepgrandchildren, Michael Ziner (Nicole) and Erika Ziner; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Claire and Mikey; her brother Richard Thompson (Frances) of Mississippi; her brother-in-law James Peterson of Marion; and her pet Precious. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
