She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil York and Flora York (Rice); her husband Will Scott Burke; her stepson Justin Burke; and her siblings, William York and Ernie York.
She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Gibbs (Jerry) of Garden Grove, CA; her grandchildren, Aaron Gibbs and Sarah Sosa (Mike); her great grandchild Adalynne Sosa; her granddaughter Amanda Lyons; her stepchildren, Lyvonne Nightenhelser (family: Sheila O'Keefe) and Randy Burke (Denise, family: Sandy Burke, Emily); her siblings, Kelly York (Frieda) of Riceville, TN and Julie Kramer (Clem) of Elizabeth, IN; and her close friends, Brent and Peggy Lee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends and caregivers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and at 12:30 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel (400 E Main St, Gas City, IN 46933).
