Betty leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Betty’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Betty will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: sons: William (Becky Thomas) Brankle, Jeff (Rita) Brankle, Dean (Debbie Musall) Brankle, and Dennis (Carol) Brankle; daughter: Jill (Leroy) Detamore; sisters: Mary Penrod and Julia Working; parents: Clayton S. Peterson and Armel (Clayton) Peterson; brothers: Ed Peterson, Charley Peterson, and Everette Peterson; sisters: Helen Peterson, Martha Hamaker, Esther Helms, and Barbara Jacks; daughter (deceased): Carol Paulette; officiant: Pastor Tim Hamaker; and 14-grandchildren, 24-great-grandchildren and one on the way, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
