Brielle Charlene Butcher Obituary
Brielle Charlene Butcher, 13 years old, of Marion, passed away at 7:05 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis after a month-long fight against Covid and pneumonia. She was born on Friday, October 26, 2007, to Amanda Butcher and Shawn Harbert.
Brielle was adored for her huge amount of love she gave. She was always a happy, caring, and selfless little girl. If you knew her you loved her wholeheartedly. Brielle struggled daily from a rare Prader-Willi Syndrome that she was born with. The obstacles never stopped her, though. She was a fighter.
Brielle would have begun her 8th grade year at McCulloch Junior High, and she was looking forward to it. She loved school, babies, singing, Tik-Tok videos, camping, swimming, riding her bike, and, as she called it, "nibbing through Facebook". Most of all, she loved to spend the night at her Nana and Pappy's house and spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her loving parents, Brielle is survived by her brother, Branden Harbert; maternal grandparents, Doodle "Pappy" and Charlene "Nana" Butcher; paternal grandmother, Marcia Harbert; special cousin who was more like a brother, Blake "Bubba" Butcher; aunts, Marcy "Auntie-M" Butcher, Jamin Harbert, Jasmine Harbert, and Charlesa Harbert; uncle, Landon Harbert; niece, JaMiah Harbert; nephew, Julian Harbert; dogs, Apollo and Ellie; cat, Kit Kat; best friend, Brooklyn Deaton; plus several extended family and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Brielle's life will begin at 2:00 pm. Pastor Dan Van Cise will be officiating with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or to Brielle's aunt, Marcy Butcher, to help defer funeral expenses.
