Cindy Ann Wilkes Obituary

Cindy Ann Wilkes, 57, Sweetser, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Marion to the late Charles and Carolyn (Smith) Bishir. She married Richard "Rick" Wilkes on July 3, 1976; he survives. Cindy graduated from Marion High School in 1976, and worked at Walmart for 23 years. The most important thing to her was her family.

She loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her family on holidays. She liked watching the Colts and cooking. She is survived by her son; Chris (Danielle) Wilkes, Marion; 3 grandchildren, Chloe, Kennedy, and Emily Wilkes; brother-in-law, "Geno" Miller; brothers, Mike (Dorothy) Bishir, Fairmount, Charles (Catherine) Bishir, Marion, and Terry (Karen) Bishir, Converse; sisters, Vicky Bishir and Teresa Rigney, both of Marion; niece, Teresa (Doug) Rogers, Grayson, KY, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her daughter, Taylor Caroline Wilkes; sisters, Shirley Miller and Janice Ashley, and nephew, Charley Bishir. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952 with Pastor Terry Bishir officiating.

Cremation is to follow.
