He is survived by: his wife Teresa Y. Owens of Marion, IN; his children, John David Owens of Mebane, NC, Christopher Ross of Marion, IN and Natachia Souders (Jon) of Cleveland, TN; his grandchildren, Trey Newton-Gossett (Addy), Charisma Winters (Nathan), Braylee Souders and Brynnlee Souders; his great grandchildren, Olivianah Newton-Gossett and Isla Mae Newton-Gossett; his siblings, Rev. Clifford R. Owens (Ruth) and Sharron D. VanNatter (Ron) of Muncie, IN; his sister-in-law Sheryl Landis of Marion, IN; and his mother-in-law Ruth Landis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
