He is survived by: his wife Joan Winslow (Winslow); his sister Shirley Ashmore (Spargo); and his children, Joy DaVee Needler (Jim) of Wabash, Dawn Hitch (Kevan) of New Haven and David Spargo Jr. (Kebra) of Marion.
He devoted 5 years to establishing the program, donating his earnings back to the college.
