He was predeceased by: his parent Maxie Kirk (Kelly); his wife Mable J. Dickerson; his father George Russell; his stepchildren, James Rogers and Linda Behrens; and his siblings, Doyle Kirk, Oscar Kirk, Earnest Kirk, Mildred King, Blanche Kirk and Hazel Corman.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Shirar (Tim) of North Manchester and Douglas Kirk (Angie) of Marion; his grandsons, Chad Shirar (Stacey), Timothy Shirar (Kayona), Braxton Shirar (Liz), John Shirar and Zane Kirk (Kayla); and his siblings, Walter Kirk, Lucy Alsup, Lillie Sternfeld and Thelma Kirk. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel (400 E Main St, Gas City, IN 46933). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
