He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Peña and Gregoria Peña (Hernadez); his children, Deonicio Jr., Delia Vasquez, Mario Peña, Enett Balderas and Gloria Balderas; and his brothers, Julian, Luis and Domingo.
He is survived by: his wife Antonia Guillermo; and his children, Hilda Llamas (Salvador), Pete Balderas (Angela), Toni Myers (Greg), Rogelio Peña (Aimee), Jose A. Peña (Mary), Edward Peña (Maritza) and Eva Taylor (Tracy). He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
