He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hollars and Della Hollars (Dailey); his spouse Woodrie Lorraine Brawl; his daughter Linda Hollars; and his siblings, Eugene Hollars, Herbert Hollars, Bill Hollars, Beulah Ellis, Lillie Vanderpool, Margaret Ledbetter, Agnes Powell and Martha Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hollars (Monika) of Augusta, GA, Deborah Tyra (Denzil) of Fairmount, Brenda McBride (Mark) of Swayzee and Karen Shelburne (Scot) of Dunlap, IL; his sister Louise Smith (Don) of Wartburg, TN; his grandchildren, Andrew McBride of Columbus, Briana Buckley (Matt) of Fishers, Stephanie Shelburne of Greenville, SC, Sarah Robertson (Matthias) of Greenville, SC, Emily Shelburne of Normal, IL, Lauren Shelburne of Dunlap, IL, Julie King (Aaron) of Gas City, Jennifer Brown (Chris) of Fairmount and Megan Pullen (Brian) of Evans, GA; and his great grandchildren, Fallon Buckley, Kendall Buckley, Alison Martin (Ryan), Austin Purtee, Phillip King, Seth Brown, Abby Brown and Piper Brown.
