He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leland Compton and Colleen Compton (Kirkpatrick); his wife Connie; his children, Ryan Compton (Kim) of Greenwood, Shannon Craig (Rodney) of Muncie and Ashley Freshwater (Jerry) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Tyler (Izzy), Logan (Olivia), McKenna, Nolan, Kobe (Sophia), Kaleb, Cole, Jace, Cayleigh, Jaymeson and Addison; and his siblings, Cheryl McCracken (Richard), Charla Flynn, Renee Reed and Scott Compton. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fairmount Friends Church (124 W 1st St, Fairmount, IN 46928). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
