He is survived by: his wife Loretta Tunstall; his children, Christine Jones, David Flatt, Kimberly Flatt, Kwaunia Bright (Terrence), Karicko Tunstall and Chelsey Grant (Steven); his stepdaughters, Essence Melton (Phillip), Kiva Smith and Kenya Hudson; and his siblings, Gwendolyn Bynum, Epsie Collins, Earnestine Cleaves, Mary Gray, Alberta of Washington, Curtis Tunstall, Namon Tunstall and Richard Tunstall. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren.
