He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Burns Sr. and Jean Moore; his wife Wonetta Burns; and his sister Sandy Hobson. He is survived by: his sister Deborah Burns; and his children, Steven Rice (Lotus), Crystal Johnson (Edward) and Amber Rice (Aaron Frazier). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home (1202 W Kem Rd, Marion, IN 46952). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
