It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Gavin in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Gavin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Williams and Cecile Loer Williams; her husband Richard Gavin; her children, James Gavin and Tanya Gavin; her siblings, Juanita Comer, Mary Powell, Naomi Brewer Porter, Donna Scott, Faye Williams, Joan Shellen, Lester Boswell, Willis Boswell, Malcolm Williams and Tence Williams; and her close friend Ed Pirl.
She is survived by: her daughters, JoLynn Gavin and Pam Gavin; and her granddaughters, Loreal Gavin and Caitlin Brunson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
A reception will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Armes-Hunt Funeral Home (415 S Main St, Fairmount, IN 46928). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
