He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank E. Pettit and Mae L. Pettit (Damon); his son Thomas E. Pettit; and his nephews, Lonnie Gene Pettit and Alan Love.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Logan (Logan) of Marion; his friend Jerry Dusseau (Pat); his daughter Hannah Skeens (Ryan) of Sweetser; his grandchildren, Kynlee and Taysom Skeens; his siblings, L. Gene Pettit (Karla) of Scotts and Judy Ragusa (Vito) of Battle Creek; and his brother-in-law Ryan Stevens (Wendy) of Burr Oak.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Pettit Family.
