He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Myron Shaw Sr. and Garnet M. Shaw (Ruble); his wife Carolyn J. (Elliott); his son Bret Dee Shaw; and his siblings, Jeannine A. O'Connell and Dean Myron Shaw Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Julie A. Kestle (Craig J.) of Logansport; his grandchildren, Rachelle Gordon (Eric), Macy Kestle, Cassidy "Cass" Kestle and Elijah Kestle; and his great grandchildren, Lucy Gordon and Liam Gordon. He is also survived by 3 nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Keplinger Funeral Home (509 N High St, Hartford City, IN 47348). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
