She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Mac" Combs and Maudie Combs (Jent); and her sister Mae. She is survived by: her husband Ronald E. Soards; her son Dennis Soards (Fonda) of Roanoke; her stepdaughters, Denise Combs (Marcus "Anthony") of Marion and Rhonda "Kim" Pacetti of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Dustin Soards (Celeste), Mallory Ross (Taylor), Ian Soards (Mckenna), Mike Combs (Beth), Jeff Combs (Jordan), John Pacetti, Matthew Pacetti and David Pacetti; her siblings, Marcus Combs, Helen Collins of Gas City and Jean Travis (Jim); and her close friend Beverly Smith of Marion. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
