He is survived by: his parents, Dude Bates and Elizabeth Bates (Grisom); his daughters, Freda Mae Stambaugh (Ron), Waterloo Guthrie and Connie Faye Guthrie (Donald); his grandchildren, Frances Compo, Angela Stambaugh, Leslie K. Lewis, Sue Ann Winn and Gary Guthrie; and his great grandchildren, David, Mclinda, Chad, Christina, Alexis, Hunter, Javelin, Jenny Ann, Josh and Brandon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
