He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Carmichael and Dottie Carmichael (Babb); his siblings, David Carmichael (Marge), James Carmichael (Marge), Raymond Carmichael (Jackie), Harold Carmichael (Jennie), Ruth Cox (Raymond), Margaret Bozell (Gerald) and Kathryn Carl (Gene); his brothers-in-law, Robert Lewis and John Wimmer; and his pet Panther.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Dawn Harness (Rick) of Lafountain, Amy Landrum (Jim) of Swayzee and Kevin Carmichael (Debbie) of Marion; his grandchildren, Lacy Saunders (Jonathan), Lindsay Harness (Kylie), Luke Harness (Victoria), Hannah Landrum, Caleb Landrum (Casey), Carrie Hutchison (Alex) and Stephanie Schweibold (Dan); his great grandchildren, Jacob, August, Lola, Waymon, Milo Harness, Isaiah Landrum, Chloe, Eli Hutchison and Ava Schweibold; and his sisters, Anna Mae Lewis and Marguerite Wimmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
