He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Cook and Mable Cook (Dilts); his son Carl Franklin Cook; and his siblings, Jack Cook and Linda Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Marie Vanlandingham; his daughter Dr. Virginia "Ginnie" Marie (Anthony D.); his grandchildren, Christopher Cook (Erica), Matthew Cook (Jewelie), Jennifer Cook, Brittany Thompson (Aldwayne Martin) and Christen Thompson (Gina Alexander); his great grandchildren, Taylor Owens, Alyssa Boan (Dallas), Bryanne Smith, Brandon Cook, Brian Smith, Dakota Cook and Carter Cook; his great great grandchildren, Avery Owens, Greyson Owens, Meredith Boan and Oakley Boan; and his sister Janice Coffelt.
