She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Swain; her parents, LaVerna Shaw (Harris) and Charles R. Shaw; her stepmother Hazel Shaw; and her siblings, Elta Mae Stinger, Betty Taylor and Charles V. Shaw. She is also survived by three nephews, three nieces, and multiple great-nieces and nephews.
