We bid farewell to Mary E. Shirar of Marion, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 19, 2024 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ringo and Eva Ringo (Osborn); her husband Richard "Dick" L. Shirar; her son David Rose; her siblings, Bobby Osborn, James Cranfill and Vicki Leslie; and her brother-in-law David Leslie.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Stevens (David), Julie Smith (Lawrence) and Christopher Grow (Kristin); her stepchildren, Steve Shirar (Toulou) and Kathy Durkes (Allon); her grandchildren, Tyler Rose, Zachary Burton (Jordanya), Jasmine Workman (Cody), Kendra Ancil (Jake), Kelsey Johnson (Adam), Kayleigh Smith, Kaeda Smith, Daivari Smith, Jayden Gray, Jaron Gray and Jayla Gray; her stepgrandchildren, David Durkes (Jenny), Steve Durkes (Kim), Jeff Durkes (Kelly), Kassie Miller (Tod) and Stephanie Rosenberg (Eric); her great grandchildren, Elijah, Adelynn, Emersyn, Dean, Iziah, Myles, Braxton and Emilio; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Derek (Ashton), Joel, Brandon, Drew (Leah), Justin (Cassidy), Lauren, Janette (Brayden), Lori, Toby, Kaysi and Caitlyn; her great great grandchildren, Brandon, Gunner, Drew, Capri, Jett, Derek, Emmerson and Rhett; her sister Martha Welch; her niece Angela Downham; and her caregivers, Rhonda Purvis and Sonia Smith. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
