She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Shockey and Martha Shockey (Trosper); her son Shayne Asbury; and her sister Martha Earle. She is survived by: her husband David Asbury of Marion; her son Mark Asbury (Tara) of Gas City; her grandsons, Peyton Asbury and Lucas Asbury; her brothers-in-law, Charles Asbury and Jeff Asbury; and her nephew Jeremy Messersmith (Amanda). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
