With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Zimmerman (Marion, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lee Zimmerman Sr. and Rosemary Ehresman (Cox); and his brother James Zimmerman Sr.. He is survived by: the mother of his children Diane Zimmerman (Tanner); his children, Gina Johns (Roger), Richard Zimmerman of Mishawaka, IN and Erik Zimmerman (Ryan) of North Port, FL.; his grandchildren, Brady Steenbeke (Kimberly), Zachary Steenbeke (Courtney), Jaime Schmucker-Garrett (Mitchell), Nathan Zimmerman, Noah Johns, Joseph Zimmerman, Amy Lewis (Christopher) and Landon Johns (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Isla, Maverick, Bodie, Kinsley, Penelope, Jett, Makenzie, Bradley, Preslee, Colten and Izabelle; his siblings, Steven Zimmerman (Deborah), Linda Istenes (Thomas) of Elkhart and Christine Reynolds of Elkhart; and his sister-in-law Judy Zimmerman of Dowagiac, Michigan..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, College Park Chapel (4601 S Western Ave, Marion, IN 46953). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Marion National Cemetery (1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953).
